Neuro-Spinal Assessment (FHT Accredited)

This is a great course for any manual therapist to give you a better understanding of what structures may be responsible for presenting pain. Many clients will suffer from pain/tingling in their extremities, but is this caused by medical conditions, trauma, muscle tension, nerve damage or disc herniations? A series of tests can be used to differentiate between symptoms and investigate the problem. You will feel more confident treating a range of clients with neurological symptoms.

  • – Dermatome testing using sharp and blunt stimuli
  • – Myotome testing of specific muscles

  • – Peripheral tests for the brachial plexus nerves
  • – Differentiation of upper and lower motor neuron disorders
