FAQs

My new studio opened on 4th July 2017 at Old School Business Centre, Church Drive, Arnold, NG5 6LD. It is a great central location and is a perfect venue for courses and massage treatments with plenty of parking (in the school playground at the rear of the property), a warm reception for students, free tea, coffee, water and biscuits throughout the day and based in a comfortable and professional learning environment. If you are travelling a long distance, you may prefer to stay overnight in the Premier Inn Hotel which is a 2 minute walk away from the clinic.

We provide intensive training in small groups (maximum of 12 for full qualifications and short courses). With fewer students than at most college courses, content can be covered at a quicker pace, with plenty of time for individual questions and recap activities.

Bookings are made via the website with a non-refundable deposit (see individual course costs), and complete payment made before the first day of the course. However, if an instalment payment plan is better for you, this can be individually discussed.

The full courses are 6 weekends long. In one weekend there is 16 hours of input which is a lot to miss! This needs to be individually discussed with the course tutor. Opportunities for catching up consist of completing workbooks, reading session PowerPoints and possibly one-to-one support at an agreed time (there will be an additional cost for this if required). The course cannot be completed if two whole weekends are missed. A refund cannot be granted in this instance and all course dates are published in advance on this website.

All of the one-day courses start promptly at 9am and finish approximately 4pm with a short lunch break. This is flexible depending on class size and criteria covered during the day. The Level 3 and Level 4 Sports Massage courses run on Sundays and Mondays. Sunday times are 9-4pm and Mondays are 8-3pm.

For all courses please bring lunch (a fridge is available to keep your food chilled), pens & paper, shorts and a few towels. There is more specific information on the individual course page.

Yes, after you have paid a deposit, if you wish to transfer to a different course this can be discussed with the course tutor. Cancellations will result in any deposits being forfeited.

This is highly unlikely, but in the event that the course is cancelled outside of our control i.e. tutor sickness, insufficient numbers of students, Pressure Point will endeavour to give students at least 24 hours’ notice and a full refund. Pressure Point is not responsible for any accommodation/travelling costs the students may incur due to the cancellation of courses.

Vocational Training Charitable Trust is our awarding body for the Level 3 and 4 sports massage qualifications. VTCT is internationally recognised and is endorsed by the Sports Massage Association.

Everything is included in the initial course fees. If students would like to purchase a Pressure Point polo shirt, then this can be ordered for £20.

If you require a sales receipt please request this at the time of booking.
